Situated on the banks of the Eikenhof dam, the Elgin Grabouw Sports Club is the ideal location for mountain bikers and hikers. The club also has several sports fields which makes it the ideal home base for several different sporting disciplines.

Elgin Cricket Club

Elgin Cricket club is an active club which has summer fixtures and play in the Western Province social league.

We encourage a family atmosphere at our games and it is common to see kids playing their own competitive game alongside the main game. The tennis courts and stunning mountain hikes means there is something for the whole family to do during the cricket.

We pride ourselves at being able to play a good competitive game as well as ensure our opponents enjoy a good braai and drink after.

The Eikenhof Dam

Although not suited for fishing-related sports, this dam is the ideal location for those people from the rowing fraternity to hone their skills whilst the Hottentots Holland Mountains provide the perfect conditions required for avid hikers, cross country runners and mountain bikers. Here they may practise their discipline whilst taking on some of the most gruelling trails in the Overberg, if not the Western Cape.

Each sport section has a representative who is in charge of organising the sport section. Please contact the Club for the details of the relevant person should you wish to make contact with this person.

The club boasts 3 tennis courts in good condition for tennis enthusiasts.
